Traditional & Contemporary. In the historic center of Cuenca, Ecuador, stands Casa Carmela. This residence, completed in 1920, is a testament to local history and culture. The plans came from England, with architecture unusual for the time.

Casa Carmela belonged to Federico Malo, a businessman known for his influence on the local economy. Federico inherited it to his daughter Carmela before the construction was completed. The walls of Casa Carmela have witnessed countless historical events. Its architecture reflects the cultural fusion and European influence in Cuenca of the 20th century.

Today, Casa Carmela is a historic monument and symbol of Cuenca's cultural heritage. Its preservation is essential to keep alive the memory of those who shaped the city's identity.

Tradicional & Contemporánea. En el centro histórico de Cuenca, Ecuador, se erige Casa Carmela. Esta residencia, terminada en 1920, es testimonio de la historia y cultura local. Los planos llegaron de Inglaterra, con una arquitectura inusual para la época.

Casa Carmela perteneció a Federico Malo, hombre de negocios cuencano conocido por su influencia en la economía local. Federico la heredó a su hija Carmela antes de finalizar la construcción. Los muros de Casa Carmela han sido testigos de innumerables eventos históricos. Su arquitectura refleja la fusión cultural y la influencia europea en Cuenca del siglo XX.
